The location was perfect for easy access to the airport. Room was clean, had fast WiFi, hot water, working A/C. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Good value for money, pleasant experience

Excellent location for anyone needing the airport close (just a 10 minute walk), and there is a bus stop nearby to and from the city centre.
The common area is so cool!

Love the vibe, location, checking in, and the facilities. It was very easy to reach by foot from the airport and there was woolworths, restaurants, and even anytime fitness gym close by! We love the common hangout place and shared kitchen concept too!

Easy self-checkin, the location is absolutely perfect for an early morning flight or late arrival respectively. Everything is super clean, the common bathroom is very big with loads of shower and toilets. The bunk is very private with a shade and power outlet etc. All perfect

As someone who’s never stayed in a hostel before, I really enjoyed my stay at Lylo. The pod was a great size for one person, bed was very comfortable, and the blackout blinds worked well. I didn’t use the kitchen or lounge area much but it was very clean and well stocked and included an automatic coffee machine, vending machine, and a lot of guest storage space. Bathrooms were also clean and well maintained, and the $2 towel hire was a great help as well. All of the staff I communicated with were lovely and very helpful, check in/out were so fast and simple, and it’s super easy to find your way around both in the hostel and around the area. I felt very safe and comfortable the whole time 🙂 Would definitely recommend!

Extremely convenient for the airport. Great to have a shared kitchen so we could make our own dinner and breakfast. Woolworths is just seeing the corner so very easy to get supplies. The room was comfortable and we slept well.

Lylo Christchurch is a wonderful place to stay! A friendly 10min walk to the airport and less than a 5min walk to a bus stop. The amenities are clean and it’s such a cosy place to stay. We stayed when we arrived and then again before we left NZ. Both times, Ricky helped us and he was so kind and approachable. Highly recommend a stay at Lylo Christchurch!

This is my go-to accomodation when I arrive back to the South Island or if I have an early flight! I can walk to or from the airport…just follow the green lights at the end of the parking lot! They have 24hr check-in so doesn’t matter how early or late your flight is! It is at the back of a small shopping mall so you can grab groceries and toiletries. Also a selection of eating places there too. I just love the pods! They give you more privacy with the pull-down bling! It’s also great having a lockable locker! I fitted a 90lt duffel bag and a 30lt duffel inside! For the price, this is a great accomodation option!

The location is very convenient, about a 10-minute walk from the airport. The common area is one of the best I’ve seen among all the hostels I’ve stayed at, and the staff are friendly, the place is clean. Highly recommend!!

Ricky at reception is fantastic! He is the most hospitable staff I’ve ever encountered at this type of accommodation. He deserves a medal!
Hangout area (lounge & kitchen) is huge, tranquil, and very relaxed. Showers are good with place to hang dry clothes and hot water with great pressure.
The whole place is very quiet despite being close to a highway and obviously close to the airport (7min walk).
The pods are spacious and comfortable. I’m tall and I fit in with room to spare. Each pod has a power socket, lights, extractor fan (which sadly is quite noisy), a smoke detector, and place to keep valuables.
I will definitely choose LyLo in the future where it fits my travels.

I was basically transiting between flights and this place was great – only a 5 min walk from airport. The beds were clean and the staff super friendly. Other airport hotels can be $200+ with a fraction of the care. Well done team!

Easy walking distance and reasonably priced. The location of LyLo is fantastic and having Spitfire Lane being so handy makes it the perfect place for an overnight stop over before your next flight.

Huge communal kitchen and hangout space. Those who travel to Christchurch to start their journey should drop by LyLo.

Only 10 minutes’ walk to the terminal. Stayed here for 1 night as I needed to be up by 4 am for a morning flight. Was pretty impressed by the spacious lounge area – I’ve stayed in many hostels and this is one of the biggest and nicest so far. Pods had blinds which ensured privacy and there is a light/USB/power switch right next to the bed. Massive lockers beneath the bed that could fit a suitcase. Woolies supermarket and plenty of food options just next door.

Location is only a short 10 min walk to Christchurch International Airport and the small shopping centre (& Woolworths supermarket) next door to the hotel helps with meals/groceries if required. Excellent for air travelers on an early morning departure needing a place to rest. Though the small private room is without a kitchenette, the spacious & well-equipped communal kitchen is a great and fun concept. Strong wifi connectivity. Digital check-in/out, is a smart idea. The staff are very welcoming and friendly.

Great stay near the airport, can walk to the terminal easily, near a lot of restaurants. Staff very friendly and the room was clean, recommend.

Really friendly community, great facilities to store/prepare/eat food. Beds are super comfy and the ensuite toilet was spacious and clean. The room was well designed to utilize the space efficiently.

It was very clean. It has everything. In the bathroom you could find everything: shampoo, bathroom gel, body cream, it was very clean. The pod was very comfortable. Highly recommended if you need to stay close to the Airport.

The common are is huge and very cosy! The pod was bigger than expected. Also I was surprised that I could fit my 15kg backpack inside the locker in the shared bedroom. It’s very close to the airport and a supermarket.

The pods were really cool, appreciated the shutter, individual light and air conditioning. The shared area was also huge and full of stuff (full kitchen, hammocks, plenty of seating, games etc) I like to describe it as a little zoo enclosure for people 😂

Fantastically convenient location, all staff are helpful and friendly. The facilities are all as advertised and easy to navigate. Pods are big, lockers are good, bathrooms are as expected but kept clean. Kitchen was huge and great for cooking anything you needed. Stayed for 5 nights and was a great, cheap place to stay. Buses into the city come often and are easy to get to.

We loved our (1 night) stay here. Excellent concept with a massive hang out room and a fully equipped kitchen. Lots of free food as well left by fellow travelers, which comes handy if you are short on anything and want to avoid the walk to the supermarket. The room was compact, but spotless clean and with a comfy bed. It was walking distance to the airport which was very convenient.

Fastest check in and check out ever. Reception is 24hrs so someone is always on hand to assist you. Great service! Room was really clean and bed was comfortable. Loved the shower pressure so good! Location is great to Airport and rental car areas which we needed and right outside is plenty of food options for take out/dine in or a supermarket if you prefer to cook at lylo with their kitchen facilities which they have an abundance of. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Wifi works super well too and they have items for free of hire, sports balls etc.

Very nice and clean hostel, 15 min walk from the airport, supermarket, pharmacy and other restaurants are only a 2 min walk, nice common area to chill, absolutely loved the herbs garden! The deluxe double room was worth the price.
