Pod was nice and closed off, with socket, light and mirror. The room was quiet. The kitchen was big, with all appliances and tools available, and a huge stack of free food, both shelved and fridge. Also great location.
Everything was great!

It was amazing and I recommend this for everyone travelling solo to Queenstown. Amazing location, it’s right at the heart of it all. The property is exactly as shown in pictures, pods are clean with complete privacy and comfort. The bathrooms are clean.
The common space and kitchen are very well organised and available for everyone.

Booked a private room and the room was a decent size, comfortable, clean and most importantly quiet, so got a good night’s sleep. 24 hour reception which is great as most hostels in New Zealand close reception way too early, so this was a real standout.

Had such a great stay here. Warm staff, really beautiful roof bar area and great rooms. Would definitely stay here again

The hostel was clean and tidy, the top floor had the kitchen and lounge with views out to Lake Wakatipu and the gondola. A large screen was displaying adventure sports and activity, there was a self-service booze bar 3pm-10pm only. The bunks were of a novel design called pods, each with a privacy blind and charging points (the key card must be inserted to work them) and pin lockers for luggage.

It was a great stay. We had kids so I picked a family room which was perfect for us. I like the location. People who stays here are very friendly. Super friendly staff too.

This accommodation is in the middle of the city, close to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. I loved the Wi-Fi, rooftop kitchen and hangout area. Pod beds are generally comfortable and more spacious than I anticipated. Equipped with light, fan and power sources. This place is a great option for budget travelers.

I really liked staying here and I would absolutely recommend people to stay here. It was very quiet even in the rooms and within the pods they have this nice curtain to provide ultimate privacy that u can pull down. They have outlets within the pods and provided me another blanket as I run cold. In terms of beach access, there isn’t one nearby so can’t really say yay for that, but everywhere in the town is walkabale and this spot is very well positioned. They provided me with a parking spot in the parkade (I had to pay 30 nzd/ 24 hours but had a rental car so didn’t want to risk other spots, plus I thought that was a really good deal considering). The staff were super nice and incredibly helpful with recommendations. Kitchen area was great! Had all the instruments and appliances!!! Even had a great fridge space for everyone to put their fridge items (even had baskets to separate). All in all a great stop!!!

I stayed for 1 night during the Queenstown Marathon Weekend. The manager was so kind and helpful, as I had to make a last minute booking and they were super busy. She went above and beyond, as I had to take some time to think about the booking and she was very understanding. It was a comfortable stay, very clean and staff were all very friendly.

Had a great stay here. Such an epic location right in the middle of town. The rooftop bar has amazing views over the lake. They also just opened their self serve tapwall with beer and cocktails that you can pour yourself. You use your room key to top up $ and then pay for what you pour. They had a super tasty craft beer called Sled Dog by Altitude brewing on tap. Super nice staff and Hannah the GM was great. Can’t wait to come back soon.

Cool place to stay! The staff are helpful and friendly. You can also check in and out by yourself using the tablets by the front desk, and just leave your key card there if staff isn’t around. It was really quick and easy. The location is great, just a short walk from the waterfront, heaps of restaurants, shops, and the gondola just up the road. The common area on the top floor is cosy and nice. It’s warm and comfortable inside. I slept in a 8 pod room. There’s power points in the pod to charge your device and lockers under the bed to secure valuables. They have roller blinds for privacy in the pods. I did find that it doesn’t totally block the light so I kept waking up during the night feeling like it’s morning already, an eye mask could be a good idea if light easily wakes you like me. Also the door, lockers and edges of the pods are creaky, you can’t be quiet even if you try, so other guests coming in late sounded quite noisy. Still, so much better than a regular bunk bed dorm, my days in those are over, I’m converted to the pods! Enjoyed my stay and would stay again!

We were stressed – our international flight was delayed by 6 hours, we missed our connecting flight and it was late. Lylo Auckland had great reviews and we had no recent experience of accommodation in Auckland city. From the moment we walked in, ( nearly 11pm ) we were welcomed, helped with the registration and room upgraded for $3.50 for an ensuite option. The room was spotlessly clean, a very comfortable bed and pillows, plus it was great value at $94.00. We will be back. Highly recommend.

I stayed in a Female Room in a capsule. Was great for privacy, space was clean, good facilities even had laundry if you needed. Location was amazing very central and I felt very safe. Great place to stay as a solo traveller!

Staff are kind, fun and friendly. LyLo hosts events each night so meeting people & making friends was easy. Loved my time there!

I booked here for 1 night, and liked it so much, I booked 2 more nights!! The place is clean, modern, and has a great view of the gondola mountain. In downtown vibe and easily accessible to everything. I wanna shout out Joao. That guy in reception knows how to be nice, understanding, and welcoming of guests! And Chris for letting me use a phone charger. They are examples of good hospitality in the realm of hostels.

LyLo Queenstown is clean, tidy; facilities are perfect; staff is very friendly and helpful. Location was very central and easy to get to everywhere. Pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay again.

LyLo was a great place to stay while getting organised for hikes. Baggage storage was a welcome facility at a great rate. The double room I had was quite and comfortable. Would definitely stay again (actually tried to but they were full booked!)

The location was excellent! We chose to stay at this facility because of its proximity to bus-shuttle services and the city centre. We stayed in the female-only pods room and rate this experience highly.

The location is next to the Intercity bus stop, supermarket, all kinds of cafe shops and eateries, and within walking distance to popular hikes. I loved everything about this place! The staff was friendly, the girls in my dorm were so quiet and considerate at night, my pod had sufficient space and privacy, and the rooftop was excellent for some reading and work. Bathrooms clean.

Comfortable stay and good alternative to the usual hostel bed for more privacy. The location is also super convenient. Ben was very helpful in giving tips and could even check me in early.
