The experience in your place was incredible and I really love that idea, in case you are staying at hostel and the price is not high you can get comfort, clean and modern space close to the centre and even have own space at the same time as you share room with 9 others persons. Truly recommend it, also plenty of space to work remotely and really friendly approach.

Staff were all very friendly. We had a 2 person private room and beds, bathroom were all excellent. The communal kitchen was nice & clean, and everything was well organized. Would not hesitate to stay again!!

It was my first experience at a hostel and I loved it so much. pod was clean and spacious, and the overall facilities were clean too. Very safe for solo travelers, and you can make lots of friends too if you are a extrovert. Thank you again for everything including the sweet memories I made in lylo.

This is the best hostal I’ve ever been to. LyLo exceeded my expectations. Location wise it’s conveniently located very close to the bus stop drop off from the airport. In terms of the staff they are exceptional. Everyone is extremely attentive and helpful. They offer assistance with answering questions about the city, helping you schedule excursions and activities as well. As for the facilities, the laundry room is clutch. The restaurant attached to the hotel, Lucy’s, is awesome. Reasonably priced food and drinks and a great staff. They always seem to be arranging fun social events for people to engage in. The grounds have a number of great areas to do work and socialize as well. I was extremely happy with my room. I had a solo, private room and it was well sized and had great lighting. Overall, this was a fantastic experience I would definitely stay at the LyLo again and will recommend it to anyone I know. No complaints.

We absolutely loved our stay! Kitchen and common areas were spacious and functional. The staff was very helpful with all questions. The location is ideal for exploring the Auckland CBD with great access to public transportation.

Clean and quiet. Very well laid out room. Even though it was an internal room it was very comfortable and ideal if you are really just wanting a great place to have a good nights sleep

We loved our stay. The pod room was different but very functional! Great use of space, comfy and spacious bed areas. Great communal areas too. The bar and bar staff were also amazing. Would absolutely stay again!

By far the nicest Hostel ive ever stayed in, the pods are a great idea you can still meet people but when you want your own privacy just slide the door shut. bathrooms and nice, kitchen is good but gets messy by the evening (what hostel doesnt) met loads of really friendly people, if your going to Auckland this has got to be the hostel to get.

I was not sure about the pods when I booked but they were excellent! They gave privacy & more than adequate facilities to charge my phone, watch, Kindle & power bank. Loved having the travel office in the lobby & a great bar & restaurant with interesting activities & discounted cocktails for guests. Lots of spaces to cook, eat & “hang out” Excellent bathroom facilities.

Great hotel! Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves delicious food and has vegetarian options as well and very affordable prices. The community kitchen is massive, having a travel agency for local attractions is simply amazing. 100% recommendable!

We had an amazing stay here during our honeymoon! The location was perfect, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. A special shoutout to Jordan, the travel expert, who went above and beyond to help plan our tours and even surprised us with free tickets to a sold-out bar crawl. The hostel had everything we needed — a full kitchen, a great restaurant with an excellent breakfast and bar, and clean, comfortable rooms. The atmosphere was social yet relaxed, with plenty of spaces to unwind. Truly one of the best hostels we’ve ever stayed at!

This was an excellent place to stay. We had a private pod, which gave us all our space to chill out in when needed – perfect for me, my two teens and 7 year old. Facilities were excellent and so clean. Location was great, could walk most places or else buses and trains were so easy to use. Miss Lucy’s was convenient as well. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Lylo especially for families, don’t be put off with it being a hostel. I’d definitely stay here again. Price was so reasonable too!

The cleanest hostel worldwide I’ve ever stayed in – bathrooms, kitchen & common areas. Very relaxed atmosphere, enough space to move about & friendly staff made my stay a surprisingly enjoyable experience. Super clean linen & comfy bed too! I’ll be back 😊

The location is a short 10-15 minutes walk to the nearest supermarket and everything else (could be even as near as underv 10 minutes (e.g. takeaways, necessities, electronics etc.). The facilities of the hostel were great and regularly maintained, especially loved the privacy provided by the pods and the cleanliness of the shower rooms and toilets. The kitchen was well equipped and cleaned frequently as well. Travellers that i have met there are all respectful and friendly. There are many activities organised at the hostel to allow guests to network and make friends, with activities in the morning and night almost running daily.

We booked a private queen room, and it was absolutely silent, clean, and super comfortable. The mattress was amazing we both slept incredibly well. The kitchen is well-equipped if you want to cook your own meals, and there’s a cool on-site bar that’s reasonably priced. Even though the room didn’t have a window, it wasn’t an issue at all they’ve cleverly installed a TV with a live roof webcam that gives a sense of daylight. Overall, it’s a great budget option that honestly feels more like a hotel than a hostel. Highly recommended! Only downside: it’s about a 15 to 20-minute walk to the city center, but that also means it’s much quieter than most places downtown

Different entertainments every night in the hostel bar, where they also serve good food and drinks. Hairdresser and massages, sports activities in the mornings. An absolutely spotless, fully equipped kitchen, impeccably clean rooms and bathrooms. Very friendly and helpful staff.

All the good things of a hotel, in a hostel. The bar has good food and drinks. And even meeting people in the slow season was easy! Thanks to the whole team!!! Can’t wait to come back on a WHV.

I got a twin room with internal bathroom and after a long day of study and travel it was so nice to have a gorgeous comfortable room with a heat pump! absolutely fabulous and the bodywash and shampoo was a nice touch. Ill be back for sure with my gf! The staff at lucy’s were so lovely and gave me a complimentary muffin to celebrate my new job. Was lovely to get on mothers day!

This first time away from home and stay in the city for the weekend n I am definitely coming back 100% the food n drinks was the best, the pods great to sleep on in a quiet space. Friendly staff and clean accommodations. Simon, the travel advisor, was extremely helpful in making sure we hit all of the best things on our stay.

Very new and clean, as well as well thought of— from digital self check-in and check-out, down to the modern pod with sliding cover— it was all worth the price! Large kitchen with complete cooking tools and utensils and large shelvings to store personal food stuff (though i didn’t use kitchen). Room was of 8-bed and still felt roomy. I usually prefer rooms with windows but Lylo’s felt cozy and I had great sleep. They have an in house bar/restaurant and a tatoo and barber corner!

LyLo is a type of hostel that you will have a hard time leaving. It is designed very thoughtful with backpackers needs in mind but can accommodate families as well. You’ve got a large kitchen with multiple cooking stoves, big fridges and cubbies to store your food. You have plenty of communal space for bigger groups or just to hang out by yourself and work in silence. There is also a very vibrant bar that is part of LyLo which serves as perfect opportunity to meet fellow backpackers. 11/10 for the whole experience, I loved everything about LyLo, will definitely recommend it to friends and family and would recommend to basically anyone looking for a decent hostel in Auckland. Nothing, I LOVED everything about LyLo

LyLo Auckland is a pretty neat place. If you have never stayed in a hostel before this is a great way to start super friendly staff with a great atmosphere and amenities. The restaurant on the first floor is great with good cocktails and food and they always have some kind of activity going on! The size of the pods is also great, if you have ever stayed in a Japanese capsule then this is going to feel huge. I would absolutely come back here and I think that it is a super cool experience!

Awesome stay! Amazing shower, clean and quiet pods, and conveniently attached to a restaurant downstairs. Very safe for female solo travellers, highly recommend! Just a bit of a walk from the heart of downtown

I was greeted by a lovely man who showed me around. Having a bar/restaurant just downstairs was perfect for early morning rises. The bathroom/shower area was huge, the best for such a large facility but I never saw more than three girls in the room with me, leaving plenty of free cubicles. Nothing bad.

Lovely, spacious private room! Super comfortable bed and pillows. Very walkable area and the staff are so helpful. Love that there’s always an event the staff put on in case you run out of ideas on what to do. 🙂

It was clean, modern, and there was a good balance of social life and privacy. Checking in and out was very easy, and I felt very comfortable (literally like I was home). Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Auckland as you get a lot for your money 🙂

Welcoming and friendly staff. Modern and clean rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. 10 mins away from the city centre. What more could you want? They even have a bar as part of the lobby! Cannot recommend this place enough for backpackers or even regular people on holiday.

Great hostel, really loved my stay here. Especially the modern style and the amazing stuff I appreciated. Furthermore the day trips organised by Dajana were fun and a great way to connect with others as well as see the sights.

The individual pods were so cool with everything you needed; plugs, pockets to put your items in, a light, a mirror and best of all you could slide the door for complete privacy. Huge lockers allocated to your pod number big enough to fit suitcases inside. The 1st floor bathroom was very aesthetically pleasing and Instagram worthy!! I would come back in a heartbeat!

I had a private room, which was very clean and modern with a private bathroom, AC and a TV. The hostel has its own bar which I ate at a few times, and it was good! Very convenient! Staff were friendly. Location was great!

Very clean, comfortable room. Nice facilities and felt very safe plus great location. Really enjoyed my stay. I rebooked right away for my last two days in NZ, it’s a great location for taking the bus from/to the airport as well.

The Lylo was hands down the best hostel I have ever stayed at.

I loved staying at Lylo. I had reason to stay for 2 weeks, choose a pod and was very happy. Everything was clean, staff were attentive, lots of common spaces with cool decor and generally felt like home. The pods have pretty good level of quiet, and the majority of guests tend to be considerate. I would choose to stay here again without hesitation. It says a lot when the staff call you by your name, and the bar/cafe adjoining was perfect with every coffee being top notch.
